Inside the Food Pantry at River Life Church in Dunnellon, FL
Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, from 5 pm to 6 pm, our food pantry doors open wide to welcome individuals and families in need. As part of our mission to alleviate hunger and foster a sense of belonging, our food pantry is thoughtfully stocked with a variety of nutritious and diverse food items. Whether it's canned goods, fresh produce, grains, or household necessities, we strive to cater to the diverse needs of our community members.
Our food ministry is built on the values of inclusivity, compassion, and dignity. We understand that times can be tough for anyone, and we welcome everyone with open arms, without judgment or prejudice. Our aim is to create a warm and inviting space where individuals and families feel valued and cared for.
The Food Ministry extends its reach far beyond the church walls. It is deeply committed to providing sustenance to different segments of the community. Notably, it ensures that school kids attending sporting events at both Dunnellon High School and Dunnellon Little League are provided with nourishing meals, emphasizing the importance of well-rounded support.
Additionally, the ministry's efforts touch the lives of the homeless population, offering a source of nourishment and care to those who may be facing hardships. In line with its commitment to nurturing the church family, the Food Ministry gathers the congregation on Wednesday evenings for church family nights, where everyone is invited to partake in a wholesome meal that not only feeds the body but also nurtures the sense of togetherness and belonging.
How Can You Provide Support?

The Food Ministry operates with the understanding that fighting hunger is a collective effort. Donations are warmly welcomed 24/7 on the deck of the food pantry. This deck, located at the red building on the west side of the church, allows individuals to contribute non-perishable items whenever they can, ensuring that generosity knows no time constraints. For those attending Sunday services, a collection barrel positioned at the church entryway provides an additional opportunity to donate.
For those with perishable items, such as fresh produce or other time-sensitive foodstuffs, the ministry has made arrangements. Reach out to Patricia, one of the Ministry Leaders, at 561-414-6640 or Cheryl, the other Ministry Leader, at 352-220-0707, and they will guide you on the best way to contribute perishable items.
