Welcome to The Current, River Life Church’s youth department.
Here, students from 6th thru 12th grade find excitement, fun, and more as we grow in our relationship with Christ. Every Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. our students meet in the fellowship hall for supper. At 6:45 we move to the sanctuary for worship and preaching. We also have Sunday School for all ages on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m.
The goal of River Life Current is to reach the students in the community through various outreaches in the high school and middle school campuses. We want to empower our students to live for Christ and reach out to others around them to do the same. We encourage and disciple them to serve the Church body in various ministry opportunities as Jesus taught us to do in scripture.
Our students participate in Speed The Light, our student led missions program. They each help to raise funds to further the gospel around the world, instilling a lifetime of giving and helping those who go to share the love of God in other nations.
The youth department also participates in District and National Fine Arts competitions each year. This is where our students can “discover, develop, and deploy” their talents for Christ.
You may find our teens at a carwash to raise funds for their activities, hanging out having pizza, or spending time together at the kickball field. We are all about enjoying our time together while drawing closer to God.
